Go behind-the-scenes with Native Lens:
Friday, April 2
10:00 – 10:30am
Elevating the visibility of Native and Indigenous stories in Public Media
KSUT Tribal Radio and Rocky Mountain PBS have collaborated to launch Native Lens, a collaborative media storytelling project that offers a platform to Native and Indigenous voices. Anyone who is Native or Indigenous in North America can submit. No film experience is necessary. Most stories are shot on people’s phones.
Join us for a community conversation with Charine Gonzales, Native Lens Lead Editor; Tami Graham, Executive Director of KSUT Public Radio; and Enrique Jimenez, Rocky Mountain Public Media Digital Media Producer, on why authentic, firsthand representation of Native people within public media is vital.
